Hi, my name is Shona, I'm a journalism major and I hope to to someday work in foreign correspondence. I was given a computer at the age of nine and have been writing incessantly ever since. Having accumulated some interesting life experiences via various excursions around the world, it was only natural that I'd turn to journalism as a potential career path. Let's hope it works out.
I tend to be most interested in 'creative non-fiction,' an aspect of the media that can be found in programs like NPR's "This American Life," PBS's "Frontline," or documentary film. Like many journalism students, I fancy myself an aspiring novelist, though I would never admit that out loud. Consider me game for anything that serves as fodder for a short story or a potential novel and as such I find reality to be the greatest source for all things tragic, romantic and hysterical.
